The Tulsa Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Tulsa SPCA), founded in 1913, is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving animal welfare by providing rescue, rehabilitation, adoption, and community education services in the greater Tulsa area.
Director of Community Engagement
Responsibilities: Develop, oversee and support the community engagement and educations activities of the Tulsa SPCA. In that role, this person will serve as a liaison to school districts, program clients, volunteers and the community in general. Activities include: coordination of onsite and offsite programming (including tours), event scheduling, and future program development. In addition, this position will promote a positive work environment that supports constructive working relationships between departments/staff. This aspect of the job will work closely with the current Volunteer Manager and also with the volunteer serving in the Outreach position.
Will work closely with the leadership team to assist in development and implementation of the Tulsa SPCA’s public relations and marketing plans and strategies.
Qualified applicants will ideally have a 4-year college degree, however some consideration may be given to candidates based on a combination of college and work experience. Excellent computer and verbal skills required. Knowledge of website and social media design and maintenance strongly preferred. Additional skills desired: experience working in an office setting, good customer service skills, ability to track data and pay attention to detail, ability to work in a team environment and the ability to build partnerships with a wide range of groups and people.

The starting salary range for this position is $30,000 – $35,000 per year and includes health, dental and vision benefits as well as some veterinary benefits.
The position is exempt and the schedule varies but some evenings and weekends will be required.
