MEET SHELDON!

We have a very special dog here with us who is in desperate need of a foster. Sheldon was found by our cruelty investigator on a chain and up to his knees in flood water earlier this month. His poor ears were bloodied from fly bites and his beautiful coat was coarse and dirty.

Weeks later, you’d barely recognize Sheldon! He’s all cleaned up, healthy and ready to learn how to live in a home.

Unfortunately, Sheldon’s entire life has been lived on a chain so he doesn’t have the skills necessary to be available for adoption just quite yet. He has never lived inside a home, so he will need some basic potty and house training. He is friendly, but sometimes excited by people, and can become jumpy during those times. Because of this, Sheldon would not do well in a home with small children.

He loves to play with other dogs, but probably never did so until he was in our care so he lacks some basic manners and likes to play rough. But, Sheldon shows no aggression! He adores toys and could happily play all day with them with or without your help!

Our trainer at the shelter will be available to offer you near limitless resources and support! Sheldon deserves the chance to learn how to be a loved and cared for companion animal. We hope you will consider helping him become just that!

If you or someone you know would be interested in fostering Sheldon or any of our dogs, please fill out our foster form online at https://www.tulsaspca.org/become-foster-parent/.
