Due to extremely high numbers of active Covid infections in the community as well as staffing shortages, we will be implementing some changes to our operating procedures effective immediately.  We hope this will only last through January 30th but will reassess as that date gets closer.  Please check back regularly as this situation has the potential to change and additional closures may be necessary.

FOR ALL SERVICES

  • Indoor access to our facility will be extremely limited
  • When indoor access is allowed, a properly fitting mask will be required for everyone, no exceptions.  This means children who are too young to wear a mask or adults who are unable to wear a mask will not be allowed in at this time.  Surgical type masks or KN95 masks are strongly recommended over cloth masks.
    • Surgical masks will be available while supplies last – donations are appreciated to help us recoup our costs if we provide you with a mask.
  • Please be aware, longer wait times are likely until we can transition back to normal procedures.

ADOPTIONS

  • We prefer you make appointments to come in and see our animals.  You can make an appointment by emailing adoptions@tulsaspca.org.

o   If you decide to come in without an appointment, a phone number will be posted on the door of the shelter (older, two-story yellow building on the west side of the parking lot) for you to call for assistance.

  • Showings for all adult dogs will happen outside so please dress appropriately.
  • Puppies, cats and kittens will be shown inside, one family at a time.

CLINIC

  • We are currently only allowing one (1) family (up to two (2) people) inside the building at a time.
  • You may check in at the front door of the clinic and receive a number but may be asked to wait in your car until it is your turn.  We will come out to notify you when you may come inside.
  • Appointments are required for Spay/Neuter services.  These can be made on our website at https://tulsaspca.org/spayneuter/
    • Additional instructions may be sent to you when you make your appointment and any last minute changes to the instructions will be posted on the clinic door.
  • Appointments are required for Preventative Care services.  These can be made on our website at https://tulsaspca.org/preventative-care/.
    • Additional instructions may be sent to you when you make your appointment and any last minute changes to the instructions will be posted on the clinic door.
  • For Vaccine Clinics, a staff member or volunteer should be available at the front door to check you in and provide you with a number.  You may be asked to wait in your car until it is your turn.  We will come out to you to let you know when you may come inside.  If staff or volunteers aren’t available at the front door, a phone number will be posted for you to call for assistance.
  • If you show up without an appointment for anything other than Vaccine Clinic, there will be a phone number posted on the front door of the clinic to call for assistance.
