The Tulsa SPCA offers interactive tours of our facility to interested groups in the public. Scheduled in advance, tours include an informative walk-through of our main building, adoption center, cat colony room, the cruelty investigation office, night kennels, cleaning room, clinic and outdoor runs. Depending on the interests of the group, our tour might focus on the financial needs of the shelter, the needs and origins of our dogs and cats or the shelter’s daily operations.

Every tour is a cooperative effort between the Tulsa SPCA tour guide and the group leader, and must be scheduled at least one month in advance. For more information or to schedule a tour, please contact the Tulsa SPCA at 918-428-7722.

TULSA SPCA DOG OF THE WEEK! Pixie was recently rescued from a hoarding situation. She is already learning about regular home living in one of our wonderful foster homes! They report that she is a loving and playful dog with the personality of an energetic puppy! She enjoys the company of other playful dogs and hopes to have one or two already established in her forever home. She is always on the move and most often found playing with toys or chewing bones! Like most dogs rescued from hoarding situations, Pixie initially had a hard time with potty training but is now pottying exclusively outside in her foster's home! She will likely have a set back when moved to a permanent home but should get those skills up and running again quickly if given food rewards for going outside. She hasn't been on a leash yet and finds being crated extremely scary, so would prefer to live with a family where someone is home and the humans are patient with her. Pixie is recovering from a previous skin condition but is expected to make a full recovery and is already growing fur back where she lost it. Pixie is about 1 year old and weighs about 9 lbs. If you are interested in adopting Pixie, visit tulsaspca.org/adoptable-dogs to apply! Let's get Pixie home for the holidays! ...
