Peace of Mind
Plan for Your Pet's Future
Peace of Mind Program
One of the most loving things you can do for your pet is plan for their future. The Tulsa SPCA’s Peace of Mind program gives you the comfort of knowing that if something happens to you, your beloved companion will be safe, cared for, and placed in a loving new home. We are here to help you make those arrangements so you never have to worry
What is the Peace of Mind Program?
The Peace of Mind program is a free service offered by the Tulsa SPCA that allows pet owners to make advance arrangements for their animals in the event of death, serious illness, or any other circumstance that makes it impossible for you to continue caring for your pet. We will accept your pet, provide them with the care they need, and work to find them a loving forever home.
How It Works
Enrolling in the Peace of Mind program is simple. Here’s what the process looks like
Step 1 — Contact Us Reach out to the Tulsa SPCA by phone or email to express your interest in the program. Our team will walk you through the process and answer any questions you have.
Step 2 — Complete the Enrollment Form You will fill out a form providing information about your pet including their name, species, breed, age, medical history, and any special needs or preferences. This helps us provide the best possible care and find the right home.
Step 3 — Inform Your Emergency Contacts Let your family members, neighbors, attorney, or executor know that you have enrolled in the Peace of Mind program and provide them with the Tulsa SPCA’s contact information so they can reach us when needed.
Step 4 — Rest Easy Once enrolled, you can rest assured that your pet will be in good hands. The Tulsa SPCA will accept your pet, provide proper care, and work diligently to find them a loving new home.”
Who is This Program For?
This program is designed for any pet owner who wants the peace of mind of knowing their animal will be cared for no matter what. It is especially valuable for seniors living alone, individuals with serious or chronic health conditions, and anyone who does not have a trusted family member or friend who could take their pet in an emergency.
Including the Tulsa SPCA in Your Estate
Another way to ensure your pet’s future is to include a bequest to the Tulsa SPCA in your will or estate plan. A planned gift not only helps fund our programs for years to come — it can also be used to specifically support the care of your pet after you are gone. We encourage you to speak with your attorney about including the Tulsa SPCA in your estate planning.
